The Rooms

One of the best parts about the resort is that all 602 rooms are ocean facing, and include a balcony to oversee the pools and ocean!

The rooms are modern and gorgeous, and include nightly turn-down service and 24-hour room service!

You can take the relaxation back to your room, as the luxury continues into the bathroom with large jacuzzi tubs with windows out to the beautiful beaches.

The Food

My favorite part of any travel is the food. And while there are many included amenities and perks at an all-inclusive resort, the included food is what I look forward to the most! Some of the restaurants do require reservations, and a couple (like The Table and Le Basilic) do have an extra cost.

There are so many restaurant options, with lots of healthy options like fresh fruits and high protein meals!

The Cevicheria by the pool was a personal favorite stop of mine.

Tacos were a frequent choice of ours, for obvious reasons.

I also loved all of the fresh seafood options, as I’m always excited about salmon.

Just look how gorgeous the dining room at La Joya looks! Not only did it offer delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine, but it also included entertainment in the form of a full Mariachi band!

The Activities

If you follow me on social media, you know I don’t miss a day at the gym even when on vacation. Their brand new, state of the art gym did not disappoint! They also offer guided meditation and yoga classes.

When traveling with kids, I definitely want to take advantage of spending time with them. However, it is still nice to get some free time to enjoy the activities they can’t. Enter the KidZ Club! As far as kid’s clubs go, this one is top notch! Kids aged 3-12 have plenty of different activities to choose from, both indoor and outdoor.

If you do want to get away from the kids for a bit, then you can enjoy a signature spa treatment at the GEM Spa. Enjoy a luxury massage, or visit the beauty salon for a mani-pedi!

My kids love anything to do with the water, and so do I! The multiple, sprawling, lagoon-like pools were beautiful and refreshing, perfect for a relaxing vacation! Better yet, if you’re visiting in the off-season, they keep them heated!

If the pool isn’t your scene and you’re here to see the ocean, then enjoy the private white sand beaches with the family!

If you’ve got older kids who like a bit of adventure, the resort offers jet-skis, paddle boards, kayaks, and windsurfing. You can also snorkel along the coast. Or there are land excursions into the surrounding jungle, or you can take a day trip to see the Mayan ruins in Tulum or Yucatan! Not far from the resort, at Playa Caracol, you can also take a ferry out to some of the islands in the Caribbean like Isla Mujeres.

It was a bit difficult to leave and return to reality at the end of our trip, but we had such a nice stay, and can’t wait to return! If you’re looking for a relaxing and entertaining vacation that won’t require much mental stress with planning, then the Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach is perfect for you.
