It didn’t take 24 hours before Dakota Johnson’s representative cleared the air surrounding the actress’s alleged split with Coldplay singer Chris Martin.

The news of their rumored breakup was first announced by the Daily Mail which claimed that the couple had reached a dead-end despite working on their relationship in the past months.

“Chris and Dakota have tried desperately hard over the past few months to make their relationship work,” a source told the Daily Mail. “They’ll always have love for each other but they’ve both come to the conclusion the relationship cannot be sustained long-term. They’re both busy people, Chris has been in Europe with Coldplay and they both have personal priorities, passions, and work commitments which don’t naturally intertwine with each other. They wanted it to work but it just hasn’t, and they’ve now accepted it is best to move on.”

They also claimed that Dakota was seen without her engagement ring.

However, TMZ immediately got into contact with Dakota’s rep and found that the breakup rumor was “nothing but a false alarm” and confirmed that Dakota and Chris are still “happily together.”

Furthermore, another source shared that Dakota was seen attending Coldplay’s Helsinki show just 2 weeks ago. The band also just released a new video for “feelslikeimfallinginlove” which was produced by Dakota’s production company TeaTime Pictures.

They have been together for 7 years.
