Angelica Panganiban’s mother, Annabelle “Ebela” Panganiban, has passed away on August 20. She was 61 years old.

The actress confirmed the news on Instagram, sharing details of her wake, which will be held at Aeternitas Chapels and Columbarium in Quezon City, starting August 22.

She didn’t disclose further details about her mother’s death. Condolences from her fellow celebrities Kim Chiu, Bela Padilla, Anne Curtis, Bea Alonzo, John Arcilla, Maymay Entrata, Miles Ocampo, and Enchong Dee poured in the comments section.

During her second wedding with her husband Gregg Homan in April, Angelica penned a heartfelt letter to her mother, expressing gratitude for being raised as a wonderful and brave person.

“Lahat ng meron ako ngayon ay pasasalamat ko sayo. Ikaw ang kayamanan ko na kaya kong ipagmalaki kahit kanino dahil ang lahat ng aral na napulot ko sayo ang ipapamana ko sa pamilya ko,” she wrote.
