Weekend events in Los Angeles will make for an especially busy Sunday. This includes our Los Angeles Marathon which is expected to have 26,000 runners. The ‘Stadium to the Stars’ run will begin at 7AM at Dodger Stadium and will end on Avenue of the Stars in Century City. Along the route, runners will enjoy some of LA’s most iconic landmarks and neighborhoods.
Communities include Chinatown, and Little Tokyo near our Civic Center in Downtown Los Angeles. From there the route goes through Angelino Heights, Echo Park, and Silver Lake before heading into Hollywood. Runners will sprint in front of The Dolby Theatre and Grauman’s Chinese Theater along the walk of fame and then south to Sunset Blvd. Here, participants will experience The Sunset Strip in West Hollywood and then continue into Beverly Hills with a dash down Rodeo Drive. Wilshire will take them into Westwood and Brentwood before the final leg backtracks into Century City for the finish line.
Because so many of our main boulevards are closed in the morning, driving anywhere in the city can be tough. All the side streets will see a huge overflow of traffic. Locals treat this like a holiday and venture locally on foot for coffee and brunch.
