Dakak Park and Beach Resort: A True Mix of Comfort, Good Food, and Adventure
Los Angeles is a city bursting with energy, rich history, and unforgettable sights. If you’re looking for the best way to experience all that LA has to offer, there’s no better way than participating in the Los Angeles Marathon! Mark your calendars for March 8th, 2026—when runners from all over the world will hit the streets and embark on a journey through the city’s most celebrated landmarks and vibrant neighborhoods.
The adventure kicks off at the iconic Dodger Stadium, where anticipation will fill the air. From there, the marathon route heads south, winding its way into the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. Along the way, runners will pass through colorful Chinatown, historic Olvera Street, the LA City Hall, and the lively district of Little Tokyo. You’ll also see the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, once the glamorous home of the Academy Awards!
Next, the course travels through the artistic vibes of Echo Park and the green spaces of Barnsdall Park. As you make your way to the corner of Hollywood and Vine, you’ll see legendary venues like the Pantages Theater and Capitol Records. While there’s no time to stop for a classic martini at Musso & Frank Grill (established in 1919!), you’ll continue your run along the world-famous Walk of Fame, passing by The Dolby Theatre and Grauman’s Chinese Theater.
Now it’s time to soak in the vibes of the Sunset Strip, where the route passes by The Chateau Marmont and enters the storied rock ‘n’ roll playground featuring The Roxy, The Rainbow Bar and Grill, Viper Room, and Whisky a Go-Go. The excitement keeps building as you cruise along Santa Monica Boulevard, enter the iconic 90210 zip code, and sprint down a glamorous stretch of Rodeo Drive—right around the 18-mile mark!
After leaving Beverly Hills, runners make their way into Brentwood, execute a quick U-turn, and head toward the finish line at Avenue of the Stars in Century City. This spot isn’t just great for a photo finish—it’s also perfectly situated near Westfield Century City, offering incredible shopping and dining options for runners, friends, and local cheerleaders to celebrate the day.
