BEAUTIFUL NEWS IN SOUTH AFRICA

ALIVE WITH COLOUR IN JOZI

Take a look at the newest artistic additions to Maboneng! The city is only feeling lush after the recent rain, but street artists have brought colour and beauty to our City of Light too.

The best way to see these new murals and pieces is to join a walk through Maboneng.

Lace up your walking shoes and get ready to see a side of the city that usually only the locals do. We’ll start out at Curiocity before heading to the Kwa Mai Mai Traditional Healers Market, the Collector’s Treasury (the largest second-hand bookstore in Africa), the Carlton Centre (the tallest building in Africa), Chancellor house (where Madela and Tambo set up their law practice) and finish off at Little Addis (Joburg’s Ethiopian Quarter).

Get in touch with us on 011 614 0163 or visit our site.

Find us at 302 Fox Street, Maboneng, Johannesburg.

OUR NEWLY PLANTED PUMPKINS HAVE SPROUTED IN THE CRADLE OF HUMANKIND.

Pumpkins sprouted at FARMHOUSE@58

The pumpkins have sprouted at FARMHOUSE58! Our resident farmer Paul Boyter, with Tom and Jerry, our resident and on-site gardeners, have worked tirelessly to ensure the edible gardens and sustainable agriculture elements of 58 are thriving through the seasonal transitions.

One of the best ways to experience this is to take a leisurely amble through the gardens when you’re staying with us; book to join our composting workshop this weekend and sample some of our fresh produce at The Shed, our farm-to-fork restaurant.

As the year draws to a close, head to nature and work-in-nature and enjoy entirely new levels of productivity during a midweek stay. Explore the gardens, enjoy a hike and yoga too.

NEW RAINBOW WALK IN GREEN POINT!

Rainbow walk at Greenpoint

Green Point is now the proud host of a pedestrian crossing in rainbow colours, the worldwide symbol for the LGBTQIA+ community.

This wonderful new addition arrives during South Africa’s Pride Month. October marks the first Lesbian and Gay Pride March in Africa, which took place on October 13 1990.

Green Point has always been home to many, if not the majority, of the LGBTQIA+ social amenities in the Mother City – a fitting spot for a rainbow! Just a few minutes walk from CURIOCITY Green Point, its a wonderful must-see and photo moment.
