Janella Salvador and Win Metawin’s upcoming film “Under Parallel Skies” will have its world premiere in Hong Kong on March 11, 2024, as part of the 17th Asian Film Awards (AFA).
According to Variety, it is the second Filipino film to be distributed by Warner Bros. and the first from the Philippines for 2024. On the other hand, “Under Parallel Skies” became the first Philippine cross-country film set for a world premiere in Hong Kong.
The film will also have its Hong Kong premiere at the B+ cinema. ICYDK, it was even filmed in Hong Kong with the support of the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
Directed by Sigrid Bernardo and produced by 28 Squared Studios, “Under Parallel Skies” follows the story of a Thai bachelor (Win) struggling to move on from a painful past who crosses paths with a resilient OFW (Janella) trying to make ends meet.
It will premiere in the Philippines on April 17, Singapore on May 1, and Thailand on May 9.

Janella previously starred in the ABS-CBN series Be Careful With My Heart, The Killer Bride, and Mars Ravelo’s Darna. Meanwhile, Win is known for his role in the Boys’ Love series 2gether and Still 2gether, as well as other Thai series F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers, Devil Sister, and Good Old Days.
