It’s confirmed! Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards are set to reprise their roles as Joy and Ethan in the upcoming sequel of the 2019 box office hit “Hello, Love, Goodbye.”
Titled “Hello, Love, Again,” the highly anticipated film will premiere in the Philippines on November 13, 2024, followed by international releases. Cathy Garcia-Sampana will also return to direct the sequel. This marks the first collaboration between ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema and GMA Pictures.
According to reports, it follows the continuing story of Ethan and Joy, two overseas Filipino workers based in Hong Kong, who rekindle their romance five years later in Canada.
In a press conference, Kathryn and Alden expressed excitement about the reunion film.
“Parang panaginip. Hindi po kami makapaniwala na finally it’s happening. It’s happening this year. We couldn’t be more excited po on what about to unfold in the next couple of months,” Alden said.
Meanwhile, Kathryn shared her anticipation of the movie, “It feels very familiar, but, at the same time, it’s different because it’s been five years, and five years is such a long time.”
“I’ve changed and, I think lahat kami. Lahat tayo nagbago. I’m just curious kung ano ang maibibigay namin this time around,” she added.
