Located in the San Bernardino mountains in California, the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is serene, peaceful, and the ultimate stop for relaxation.
I recently had the absolute pleasure of visiting the San Bernardino mountains in southern California and staying in the beautiful little resort town of Lake Arrowhead. This trip was all about rejuvination, and the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa did not disappoint. Not even two hours from Los Angeles, it feels like a completely different world from the surrounding area, and transports you to a place of relaxation. Despite it’s proximity to LA, I’d recommend flying in and out of Ontario International Airport for the best access.
Lake Arrowhead Resort offers an amazing escape from the everyday hustle and bustle of life. Their guestrooms, like the rest of the resort, are a perfect balance of modernity and the comfort of a mountain cabin. Waking up to the beautiful lakeside and mountain views was amazing!
When it comes to dining options, the resort has a couple on property. In the mornings I enjoyed a cup of coffee from Cafe Aromas (a cute little coffee shop) out in the brisk mountain air, and would eat my lunch and dinner from Bin 189 outdoors, taking full advantage of the scenic, landscape views.
Lake Arrowhead Resort has so many wonderful things to offer from amenities on the property to activities in the surrounding area. I was pleasantly surprised with the variety and how they really do have something to offer for everyone! A majority of what is offered is included in your stay for no additional fee.
A huge way that I like to wind-down on vacation is through shopping! And Lake Arrowhead Village had an amazing variety of shops. The weather was also absolutely beautiful during my stay, so it was wonderful to just lazily stroll down the street and enjoy the fresh, mountain air.
Of course no resort stay is complete without spending time by the pool. Lake Arrowhead’s outdoor pool had plenty of space for relaxing and soaking up the sun, or for splashing and swimming in the warm water.
The resort also has private beach access to Lake Arrowhead, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Guests are welcome to swim, kayak, or canoe in the lake. You can head into the Village to book a private boat tour as well! And because of where the resort is located, if you’re a fan of mountain adventures, you’ve got access to mountain biking and hiking in the warmer months, or snowboarding and skiing in the colder months. They even offer sledding, movie nights, and game nights for the little ones.
Obviously I can’t go anywhere without exploring the fitness options. The Lake Arrowhead Resort not only has an amazing fitness center, but also has daily fitness classes that are included in your stay, like yoga, pilates, and HIIT.
My favorite part of my stay? The spa! I had an amazing deep tissue massage, but it was super difficult to narrow down what I chose from their diverse list of treatments. They offer a few different types of massage, a facial, different body scrubs, aromatherapy, cupping therapy, and so many other options! They also have access to a steam room and a roman bath that was glorious.
On top of everything else I’ve already mentioned, I know the resort hosts all sorts of seasonal activities and events. Make sure you thoroughly explore their site when booking to know what’s going on at that time! Your trip to Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa will leave you feeling relaxed, rejuvinated, and well rested.
Disclosure: Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa hosted my accommodations and meals during my stay, but all opinions are my own.
