A look at one of Jamaica’s most family-friendly, all-inclusive resorts: the Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall in Montego Bay.
We were so happy to be able to return to Montego Bay recently and soak up some sun and warmth despite winter settling in here in Michigan. Of course it wouldn’t be a trip to Jamaica without staying at our favorite family-friendly resort, the Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall, with the adults-only Hyatt Zilara right next door!
Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall offers 277 guest rooms and suites with features like private furnished terraces. I highly recommend the Club Level room which gives you access to private check-in, personalized concierge services, spa discounts, and the Club Lounge, offering premium drinks, appetizers, and table games.
If you’re not familiar with all-inclusive resorts, it means that your stay includes unlimited food and beverages (including alcoholic), activities, and entertainment. Whether it’s a spin class in the fitness room, a game of water volleyball in the pool, or a five-course dinner with wine, it’s all included with your stay at the Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall.
Adults 18+ have access to both properties including pools, restaurants, bars, and more. And yes, there’s even a swim-up bar at the adults-only pool. If you’re traveling with little ones, you can hop over to the adults-only pool during nap time (like I did). Or if you are lucky enough to have left the kids with grandma for the week, you can dine, swim, and recreate knowing that you won’t have to worry about any littles running about!
As a healthy foodie, I am always looking for resorts with high-quality restaurants that feature a variety of healthy options. This resort did not disappoint. All of the buffet tables offered a wide range of healthy options at breakfast and lunch including fresh tropical fruit, salad bars, seafood, whole grains, fresh juices, and more.
They also offer sit-down fine dining and 24-hour room service: all of which is complimentary! Want to eat by the pool? Don’t miss the Jerk Hut featuring their world-famous jerk chicken and jerk pork. In fact, they even shared their special jerk pork recipe with me – simply swap with chicken if you prefer! I also highly recommend the beef patties, they were delicious!
Throughout the day, the Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall offers a wide variety of complimentary activities for kids and adults alike. Whether it’s face painting, board games, pool games, fitness classes, dance classes, and more – they have something for everyone at all hours of the day!
Of course you can’t go to Jamaica without visiting the beach, and the resort offers many water-based activities! You can grab a kayak or a catamaran, jump a wave on a boogie board, or dip below the surf to snorkel the Caribbean.
Want to relax? Cool off in the relaxation pool, a quiet oasis perfect for unwinding in the Jamaican sun, or join the party in the activities pool offering a variety of family fun. In addition to multiple pools, there is plenty of beachfront for your relaxation needs.
Included with your stay, you can sweat it out at their fully-equipped fitness center or challenge yourself at boot camp and beachfront yoga. They also offer fitness classes that will keep you cool by putting you in the pool. And while it’s an extra (so not included in the regular fees), the spa is an amazing option to go get a relaxing massage, facial, or wrap.
When traveling as a family, it’s nice to know you can still slip away for some adult-only time. The Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall offers a KidZ Club where little ones can join in on island fun including beach sports, arts and crafts, and other exciting activities and games. And they have a Teen club as well for the older kids to still have a place to hang. While they won’t take any babies, potty-trained toddlers 3 and older are welcome in the KidZ Club.
If you are looking for an easy, relaxing vacation that will be enjoyed by the whole family, then look no further. The Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall (and it’s neighbor the Zilara) takes away the stress of planning a vacation so you can focus on what matters: relaxing and bonding as a family.
Disclosure: Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall hosted my accommodations and meals during my stay, but all opinions are my own.
