Rhea Santos Reunites With Lyn Ching, Arnold Clavio, and Connie Sison on ”Unang Hirit”

Rhea Santos reunited with her former colleagues Lyn Ching and Arnold Clavio, as she visited the “Unang Hirit” studio on Friday morning! Also present for the “Unang Hirit” mini-reunion was GTV newscast “Balitanghali” anchor Connie Sison! The surprise visit was such a treat, even to “Unang Hirit” viewers, who missed seeing them together on the daily morning program.

On the show, the former “Unang Hirit” host talked about her life in Canada with her family. “Ang mahirap lang talaga, ‘pag may naiiwan kang mahal sa buhay dito,” she said,  referring to her parents. “I’m sure the Pinoys abroad can relate… kapag malayo ka, syempre ‘yung alala mo, they’re not getting any younger.”

Rhea Santos, who now works as an anchor in Omni News, moved with her family to Canada in 2019 to study Broadcast and Online Journalism at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Nevertheless, she was able to make time to travel back to the Philippines this time to celebrate her father’s 74th birthday.

Rhea Santos also said she’s “kinikilig” to be back. “Maraming, maraming salamat kasi nakakatanggap pa rin ako ng ‘Na-miss ka namin sa Unang Hirit,’ or parang, ‘Morning Girl, kamusta ka sa Canada?’ Maraming ganoon,” she told her former colleagues and the audience.

“I’m proud to be part of the ‘Unang Hirit’ family kahit na umalis ako. Always happy to be here,” Rhea Santos added. To which, the “Unang Hirit” hosts replied, “Always welcome.”
