The Westin Puntacana Resort & Club

The Westin Puntacana Resort & Club has an incredible array of amenities, delicious food, and grounds to explore. Put this hotel at the top of your list for your next visit to the Dominican Republic!

As a food and travel blogger, I have been to a lot of incredible places, but I have to say the grounds at The Westin Puntacana Resort & Club blew me away. The diversity of outdoor options from the Reserva Ecologia Ojos Indigenas to the white sandy beaches, outdoor eating, and activities really surprised and impressed me.

Environmental Initiatives at Puntacana Resort and Club

Reserva Ecológica Ojos Indígenas

The Grupo Puntacana Fundacion is a significant reason for the environmental initiatives at the hotel. The expansive 1500-acre nature preserve is located adjacent to the property. This transitional subtropical forest contains more than 500 species of plants and is named in honor of the Taino Indians, the first people to inhabit the area.

After hiking through the trails of the preserve, I took a swim in one of the 12 fresh water lagoons that are connected by an underground river.

Back at the hotel, the outdoor amenities continue. Golf, tennis, swimming, beaches, and eating to name just a few. This Puntacana Resort boasts 3 miles of white sandy beaches, water activities, and oceanside yoga. I love to exercise on vacation! It’s one of the top-secret ways I’ve been able to maintain weight loss for all these years.

Dining at the Puntacana Resort and Club

After some exercise, I just had to sample all of the delicious food offered at the resort’s many restaurants. In fact, three of the best restaurants in all of Punta Cana are at this resort.

My favorites were the salmon pizza and tuna tomato confit tacos. This resort is also connected to other sister hotels so even more amenities and restaurant options are just a quick transfer away.

As a wellness resort, the food options were fresh, local, and healthy. The smoothie and juice bar was amazing, and they even have an adult and kids food menu focused on eating well.

The rooms were very well appointed and the hospitality staff thought of everything. Waking up every morning to the sound of the ocean outside my balcony window was such a dream!

Six Senses Spa interior

The Six Senses Spa is another highlight of my trip. This world-renowned spa has its only location in the Caribbean right at the resort. The spa offers a layered approach to treatments based in science and human awareness. Get a simple massage in your own room or hot stone therapy in their beautiful setting.

One of the benefits of working from home is the ability to work anywhere, including this beautiful location. If you have to answer email, it might as well be by the pool! The resort also has business accommodations if needed and excellent wifi.

La Yola Restaurant

If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind experience in Punta Cana, The Westin Puntacana Resort and Club is your must-see destination. From the unique nature preserve to the spa and dining amenities, there’s something for everyone here. Looking forward to my next trip!
