This new, modern and luxurious Van der Valk hotel opened its doors to the public less than a year ago, in April 2018. Opening Hotel Tilburg also meant the first Van der Valk Exclusive hotel in the province of Brabant (the Netherlands), a unique happening! I was very curious to this brand new hotel and the city of Tilburg and left this place very enthusiastic just two days later. Are you just as curious to this newest Van Der Valk Exclusive hotel? Location Van Der Valk Tilburg
Getting there by car is probably the best way, as this hotel is located right next to the A58 highway, and directly next to the highway exit. This perfect location makes Van Der Valk Tilburg very easily accessible. The hotel offers free parking, with plenty of parking lots, to their guests. There are numerous highlights and things to do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Shopping, an amusement park, safari, you can find it all within just 15 minutes of Hotel Van der Valk Tilburg.
Efteling Amusement Park
Located less than 20km from the hotel is the largest theme park of the Netherlands, the Efteling. This theme park is a guaranteed day full of fun.
Beekse Bergen
Make your way to Safari park Beekse Bergen, just 5 minutes from the hotel, for an unforgettable safari through nature and come face to face with wild animals.
Abdij Koningshoeven
The Abbey Koningshoeven is also located just 5 minutes from the Van Der Valk hotel. For many decades trappist monks have lived here, and still do. When they needed a source of income to support themselves, they started brewing beer. Nowadays Koningshoeven brewery is one of the few Trappist Breweries in the world that may use the Authentic Trappist Product logo. The La Trappe beer is served at the Van der Valk Hotel in Tilburg, give it a try!
Tilburg City Center
More into shopping? Make your way into the city center of Tilburg, just a few minutes away from the hotel. If the weather is good, rent a bike from the hotel to get to the city.
Tilburg kermis
This is the largest fair of the Netherlands, in fact, even the largest of the Benelux. Over 200 attractions are present at the Tilburg Fair, so fun for everyone! The fair is held every year in July, so this could be your great summer getaway and Van Der Valk Tilburg would be a great location to stay.
Rooms Van Der Valk Exclusive Tilburg
Entering my hotel room, I was quite surprised, the lay out, the modern and luxurious look and feel, it put a smile on my face. I was given a Deluxe Room, these rooms all have a balcony. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t that good, so I couldn’t really enjoy the outdoor space, but it must be wonderful to spend your summer night on your own balcony.
The true eye-catcher of this room is definitely the bathroom and the entrance to the bathroom, where the mirrors make the bathroom doors. A unique and very fancy design. The finishing touch of the room was superb.
Like many other Van der Valk hotels where I stayed before, the bed of my room had two duvets, one on each side. Not my preference, I would much rather have one big duvet covering the full bed, but anyway the bed is very large and just perfect, so I slept like a baby.
Online Check-in
Check in before your arrival to this hotel, choose your room type before even arriving at Hotel Tilburg. Once you have arrived, open the door to your room with your smartphone using their app. This service is only available at a few Van Der Valk Exclusive Hotels (Zwolle, Utrecht, Vianen, Houten & Tilburg). It makes checking in smooth and easy.

Looking for breakfast, lunch or dinner? Stop searching, because Hotel Tilburg offers you plenty of opportunities for your meal.
Restaurant V
Restaurant V is your place to be, whether it is for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Restaurant V is a reference to the family business and its rich history. Fresh and local products are being used to prepare the best possible dishes.
V Lounge
Located in and next to the lobby of the hotel is V Lounge. This bar area offers a wide range of drinks, coffees and some sweet treats to go along with your drink. This bar area has a very relaxed vibe and atmosphere. They also offer some lunch and dinner dishes of the menu.
Live Cooking
Looking for something special on your special trip, something other than the normal a la carte restaurant? Hotel Van Der Valk Tilburg offers their guests Saturday Live Cooking. Every Saturday they have this live cooking event going on. From 5.30 pm you’re welcome at the restaurant on the first floor for some amazing live cooking experience. For only €39,50 food and drinks are included all evening. Make sure to put in a reservation in time at the reception for this unique experience.
Skybar
Located on the 7th floor of the hotel is this Skybar with large roof terrace. During my visit early March, this Skybar was closed, and so was the roof terrace. If the weather is good, check out this roof terrace and enjoy the views.
Beauty & Wellness area
Located on the 7th and top floor of this hotel is the beauty and wellness area. The wellness and pool area are free accessible for hotel guests. Towels and lockers are available for your convenience. From the pool you have some lovely views. The pool side also offers a very relaxed and quiet area with fireplace and relax couches. The wellness area offers you steam cabines, sauna and infra-red sauna. There’s also a fitness area next to the pool area where you can use their brand new equipment to stay fit.
Hotel Tilburg also offers their guests the Ciao Bella Beauty Salon. This salon is open 7 days a week, check their opening times at the hotel. Book yourself a treatment or buy some of their beauty products. Keep in mind that this salon is not part of the hotel, which means all treatments are for your own expense.
Jack’s Casino
If you feel that luck is on your side, give it a go at Jack’s Casino, located in the basement of the hotel. This luxurious casino is opened daily from 9AM to 4AM and can accommodate 150 players. Entrance to the casino, drinks and snacks are all free of charge.
Bike rental
With its perfect location, close to so many highlights in this region, it is the perfect place to rent a bike and explore the region, or visit some of the highlights. Hotel Tilburg offers both regular bikes and e-bikes. Bikes can be rented for as low as € 17,50 per day.
It’s the small things that make a big difference
While checking in to Hotel Tilburg I immediately noticed the fresh flowers at the desk. Looking around I saw these fresh flowers everywhere, at the restaurants, at the bar, in the lobby. It gives the hotel a professional look, is an eye-catcher and makes you feel very welcome.
During breakfast there are several newspapers available for you to read. These are all Dutch newspapers, but are complimentary. Keep up with what’s going on in the world.
Next to the reception there is a little display with Van der Valk merchandise for you to take home as souvenir. Did you know that Van der Valk has their own Monopoly game? I surely didn’t, but it’s available for purchase at Hotel Tilburg. Also small tucan cuddly toys and a book about the Van der Valk history are available here.
Van der Valk Tilburg Review
I mentioned before that I was excited about my visit to this brand new hotel, and curious to what this hotel had to offer. Staying at this hotel made me extremely happy. Van der Valk Tilburg exudes luxury in every possible way!
Something I noticed was the golden toucan logo on the façade of the hotel. I had never seen this golden logo before and really liked it. This golden logo on the outside of the hotel truly reflects the inside.
