Green alcohol, salty meat, and boiled vegetables!  St. Patrick’s Day events in Los Angeles are just around the corner.  Because this celebrated day actually falls on a Monday, you’ll find many venues celebrating the festivities over the weekend on March 14^th-16^th.  Here’s a few things happening in the L.A. area:

DTLA

March 15-16, 2025 from 1pm-2am

The largest pub crawl in Los Angeles will be in DTLA.  It will start at Grand Central Market and involve over 10 different venues.  It includes the Golden Gopher, Beelman’s Pub, First Draft Taproom, 33 Taps and Crane’s Bar.  Your ticket will provide drink specials, some free shots, and St. Paddy’s accessories.

LOS FELIZ

St. Patrick’s Los Feliz Pub Crawl

March 16th, 2025 from 12n-4pm

Los Feliz Social Club invites participants to their 2nd Annual St. Patrick’s Shamrock Shunday Pub Shrtoll.  Meet at Messhall Kitchen and say “pinch me” to the host.  You’ll be given your wristband, and then you can make your way along Hillhurst to eat, drink and celebrate.  The bar crawl will consist of Tumadre, Ye Rustic Inn, Drawing Room, Desert Rose and The Guest House.

SUNSET STRIP

Barcrawlerz Sunset Strip Bar Crawl in West Hollywood

March 15^th 2pm-8pm, and March 17^th 6pm-11pm

Another pub crawl is being put on by Barcrawlers and it’s along the Sunset Strip in Hollywood and West Hollywood.  Participants include Saddle Ranch, Skybar, Andaz, Hotel Ziggy, The Den, The Naughty Pig and Wokcano.

LOS ANGELES AREA

Tam O’Shanter in Atwater Village

One of our favorite traditions takes place at The Tam O’Shanter in Atwater Village. It’s about 10 minutes east of Hollywood on the edge of Griffith Park.  This annual party takes place on March 17^th on their patio and in their event tent.  Enjoy live music and festive drinks.  Pre-sale VIP tickets include special seating, snack menu, private bar, raffles, and drink tickets.

A (not-so) fun fact:  The average cost for a drunk driving arrest in California is $20,000.   That’s 3,330 six packs of beer, or 2,500 pounds of corned beef!  The sheriff’s and local police departments will be out in full force with checkpoints throughout the community. They will surely pinch you whether or not you’re wearing green. Take the fear out of this festive day and look into Waymo, UBER and our underground Metro.  The Metro is especially convenient for Downtown Los Angeles and will alleviate any potential parking headaches.
